BREAKING NEWS: Gbemi Saraki dumps Jonathan for Buhari

Barely 24 hours to the presidential election, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara State and former Senator, Gbemisola Saraki has declared support for the candidacy of All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd). There‎ have been widespread speculations about her defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC). ‎Senator Gbemisola who is the first daughter of Second Republic Senate Leader, Late Dr Olusola Saraki was quoted to have ordered thousands of her supporters to go out with brooms on Saturday to sweep Kwara State and Nigeria clean. ‎The meeting was held on Friday at her residence in Ilorin.

Her open declaration of support for the APC and its candidates would definitely boost the chances of the party in Kwara State.

Senator Gbemisola’s open support for the APC ‎has heightened worries within the PDP fold that President Goodluck Jonathan may fail to gather the minimum of 25% of the total votes cast in Kwara State as earlier projected by the party.
